At age 45 I spent two days with AIMS (Aptitude Inventory Measuring Service) testing. The experience was truly one of the best I have had. AIMS told me what I was good at and why. Among the things they told me that I already knew were that I was at the bottom of the barrel of good spellers (thank goodness for spell check), could not carry a tune in a bucket (sadly I know the words to hundreds of songs) and I had a short attention span.
On the up-side of the test I was found to be in the top 5% of their scale for pre-visualization and three dimensional thinking. Both of these have been a great benefit in photography and building rock structures. Without being able to pre-visualize, building with rocks would be like stacking marbles. Much of my building time is spent studying the rocks and how their shapes will mesh with the others and fit into the location without looking out of place.
There is nothing that gives me more pride than to know I am providing a truly unique experience and service for my customers with both rocks and photography.
