Services - How We Can Help

WHEN ART MEETS NATURE

Landscaping with large boulders is as simple as putting one or ten at the end of your driveway, in your front yard, or back yard down by the lake.  However, to take the process a little further (or maybe a lot further), large boulders can be placed as rock sculptures, waterfalls or both as a dynamic part of your landscaping.

GETTING STARTED:

First you can call me at 903-466-3456, or you can email me at Ron@ReallyBigRocks.com. When you call or email we will discuss your options and wishes. If the job calls for a visit to your site I will then come and meet with you and photograph the site. If you cannot be there, as many are bsentee owners, I will photograph your site and begin working on a design. With my photographic/computer skills and eye for artistic design I will then create a model where it would be located on your lot.

Please note the likeness of the computer design and the finished product I designed and built at Eagle Point. The main difference was that the owners decided not to use the water feature.

PERMITS:

I have spoken to the General Manager of Franklin County Water District David Weidman and he approves of this type landscaping. Mr. Weidman says that the customer needs to check and see if the structure is big enough to require a
permit. It is my understanding that the rock structure may or may not need a permit (depending on the location) and there could possible be a fee for the permit. Mr. Weidman also believes that if the proper permits are in place the lake lot owner will be able to pump water out of the lake for the waterfall and let the water run back into the lake.

BENEFITS:

I believe that a waterfall circulating water from the lake would not only eliminate filters and maintenance but also aerate the water next to your shoreline for cleaner water and better fishing. A beautiful waterfall of this type would truly be the best of both worlds.
